We met almost four years ago in high school, when we were in 11th grade in Wesleyan Academy. We had never seen or talked to each other before, until the day of our first chemistry lab. We saw in the board the pairs of the lab and saw the names: Elyette and René. We had never heard our names before and had never seen each other. The teacher divided us and finally we got to know each other. We learned about ourselves and we got interested in each other immediately. After that day we saw ourselves differently and we started dating. After four amazing years full of love and ups and downs, we are finally getting married.

What we have in common... |
The first day we met was in a Chemistry Lab. This shows our love for the sciences and we both aspire to be doctors. We, both, like to stay active and exercise. We like to play soccer, to relieve our stress, and many other sports, such as volleyball and basketball. We also like to have long walks in the beach early in the morning. To spend some time together, we love to go on road trips and discover the beauties of our island. We consider ourselves disciples of the Lord and every action we make, we do it to rejoice the Lord. We laugh a lot and enjoy our lives.

Our promises... |
Hers:
"I, Elyette take Rene Díaz Santana, to be my husband to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge my faith and pledge myself to you. I will be honest with you and forgive you, as Christ forgave us. I will always love you and I devote my life to you." His: I, Rene, take you, Elyette, to be my wife, and I promise before God and these witnesses, to be your loving and faithful husband. I will be by your side to share with you your happiness and success, and to comfort you in times of sorrow and disappointment. As your companion, I will seek to be open and honest with you, to forgive you as Christ has forgiven me, and to always remind you of the Lord’s plans and promises. Forever I devote my love and my life to you from this day forward. |
